Executive Flight Training is a small flight school that I started in 1986 while I was a pilot with USAirways. Since then, I have offered professional IFR refresher training to the owners of high performance single and multi-engine airplanes. I specialize in training pilots that have come to the realization that IFR procedures are constantly evolving as new equipment and procedures are introduced. To stay proficient, they need professional simulator based instruction. Of course, the main reason for regular IFR recurrent training is to avoid accidents. No matter how high-tech your airplane, some IFR procedures are universally applicable. There are no new accidents, just the same mistakes repeated by different pilots. My IFR recurrent training program exposes potential pilot error and reinforces correct IFR procedures. That is the rationale behind the FAA requiring high time airline, corporate and military pilots to attend recurrent simulator training every six months.
